Gateway Airport Awards $8.8 Million Construction Contract
Contractor will reconstruct North Apron Ramp

MESA, Ariz. — The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority (PMGAA) awarded to local company CSW Contracting Inc. the general contracting contract for the reconstruction of the North Apron. The award is for $8,821,477.50.

The North Apron at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is some of the oldest pavement on the airport and is beyond its serviceable life. The proposed reconstruction will extend the life of the apron for more than 20 years. The project includes nearly one million square feet of new concrete pavement in a critical area of the Airport.

PMGAA Executive Director/CEO Jane L. Morris said, “With all the growth Gateway Airport has experienced in recent years, the reconstruction of the north ramp will help to ensure that Gateway continues to function as a world-class facility that can accommodate any class of aircraft.”

Construction is expected to commence summer 2016.
