Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport Authority Elects Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels New Board Chair

Mesa, Arizona —Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels this week was elected chair of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority. The Airport Authority board elects the chair and other officers from the six board members on an annual basis.

City of Apache Junction Mayor Jeff Serdy will serve as vice-chair, Gila River Indian Community Lieutenant Governor Monica Antone will serve as secretary, Town of Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney will serve as treasurer, and City of Phoenix Councilwoman Thelda Williams and Mesa Mayor John Giles will serve as directors.

“Gateway Airport continues to shine as an economic hub for the East Valley and a bright spot for Arizona,” Chairwoman Jenn Daniels said. “It is a privilege to chair the Board as we work together to grow this airport and find new opportunities to create jobs and further the economic impact to the surrounding communities.”
