Elite Airways Announces New Service to San Diego
Three flights per week begin September 1

MESA, Ariz. — Elite Airways announced today that it will begin offering service from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport to San Diego during the third quarter of 2015. Three weekly non-stop flights will utilize 70-seat CRJ-700 regional jet aircraft.

“We are excited to bring new San Diego service to Arizona and giving more travelers the opportunity to experience the convenience of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport,” said Elite Airways’ President John Pearsall. “All of Arizona benefits from an increase in passenger service options.”

Elite Airways joins existing Allegiant Air as one of two airlines to operate at Gateway. The addition of San Diego brings the total nonstop cities served to 36.

“Elite Airways’ commitment to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport represents a turning point for air travel in Arizona,” said Town of Queen Creek Mayor and Airport Authority Board Chairman, Gail Barney. “San Diego is our most requested destination, combine that with Gateway Airport’s easy terminal experience and you have the framework for a tremendously successful venture.”

Tickets are expected to be available for purchase in the next 30 days.
